If you’ve found your way to Whimsy Thistle, thank you for being here. In a city filled with talented florists, it means a lot that you stopped by.
I’m Nataliia, the florist and founder of Whimsy Thistle, originally from a small village in Western Ukraine. I grew up surrounded by wildflowers, wheat fields, gardens, and wide-open spaces. Flowers were simply part of everyday life.
From making flower crowns for Ukrainian folk celebrations to helping my family care for gardens, crops, and animals, I developed a love for flowers and nature long before I ever imagined turning it into a career.
Over the years, that love grew into professional experience. I’ve worked in plant nurseries and floral design, creating flowers for weddings, events, celebrations, and everyday moments. I’ve learned the craft from the ground up—from caring for flowers and sourcing unique blooms to designing custom arrangements and bringing a client’s vision to life.
Today, I bring that experience to Whimsy Thistle Florist.
I create custom floral arrangements, wedding flowers, event florals, and thoughtful everyday bouquets, with a style that feels natural, romantic, contemporary, and a little bit wild. I’m drawn to beautiful seasonal flowers, interesting textures, movement, and unexpected details—and I love creating arrangements that feel personal rather than ordinary.
Whimsy Thistle is a small, independent floral business, and every order is personally designed with care. From choosing the flowers to arranging every stem, I put the same attention into a small everyday bouquet as I do into a wedding or large event.
